No reception after storm

Hello,
Yesterday night we had a big storm, with probably as usual here an overvoltage.
Since that, I have no reception on both satellite. No signal is present.
Is there a kind of fuse on the tuner board? Or something else and is that possible to repair it?
Thanks for the help.
Raymond

What do the signal and quality bars say? If the signal is still available but the quality is gone, there’s a good chance that the tuners are ok. If not, there is no fuse. Are you sure that the satellite dish is still aligned? A storm might move it out of its position.

Thanks for the answer,
I got absolutely no bars, no signal, no quality bar.
I have tested now with another receiver I have, it works, on my tv too, it's really the TF that has no signal.
The dish has not move, signal and quality at max on other devices.
And as it has no fuse, is my receiver dead, dead, dead....?

That's bad news because then you have to measure on the main board to find out if there is at least power supplied to the tuners.

Hi,
The tuners are not powered and as there is a special solder on the board, my technician is not equiped with the laser solder, I have ordered an SRP-2401 CI+ Eco and after that, I will send my other one to be repaired and will be in reserve in case of need.
But can you tell me where I have to send it to be repaired?

And as I have some records on the hard disk, can I transfer directly the hard disk to the new SRP?

Thanks for the help.

As for the last thing: Yes. You can e.g. connect the old hard disc by USB adapter to the new receiver, and then your files will be available. You can use BackGroundCopy to copy the files, or part of the files to the new receiver, or use MigrateTMShdd to "clone" the old HDD to the new one.

Thanks for the answer, but I have forgott to tell: my hard disk is internal, so can I directly put in in the new ECO receiver and have all the recorded files I had on my SRP-2401?

The Eco has a 2.5" disk, while the "old" one normally had a 3.5" disk, so that won't fit physically. Some people found in newer SRP2401 receivers also a 2.5" disk (with a mounting frame), but that isn't standard. From data view it would be no problem, both use the same file system and structure.

Ok, thanks for the answer. Are you sure that in the "new" the hard disk is 2,5"?

In this case, I will have to find another one before the ECO arrive.

It seems to me that there is a TAP, maybe Copyfast to copy all the files from the old hard disk, that I will put on external SATA deckstation.

So, the new hard disk is here, just waiting now for the receiver...
