Port und PW eingeben und auf Verbinden klicken, damit wird es dauerhaft gespeichert, ein Speichern Knopf gibt es nicht.
Benötigte Javascript Module erscheint bei mir auch zu Beginn, ist normal.
Das TV-Bild erscheint nicht automatisch, ist in Optionen einstellbar (Screenshot Intervall).

Wenn Verbindung erfolgreich war, ändert sich zunächst nur der Button Verbinden in Trennen und es erscheinen zusätzlich die Buttons TV-Bild, Direct und OSD.

Warum bei Dir nach Verbinden gar nichts passiert?

TMSRemote within webControl is a client of TMSRemote.TAP.
If there is a problem with that TAP, or that TAP is not running, tmsremote within webcontrol does not work at all.
That is what I know.

So, maybe a re-installation or repair installation of the tmsremote.tap over Taptodate?
Who knows.

Hi Roger,

as you suggested, I first repair-reinstalled preserving the settings => no change.

Then I uninstalled TMSRemote.tap and installed it completely anew. It seems however that the directories on the Toppy were not deleted in the process, since after the new install my old files and settings were alive again, and the Windows TMSRemote app worked perfectly as if nothing had ever happened :.

With tmsremote within webControl unfortunately no improvement whatsoever. BUT now the remote control image has changed - it just displays a blank black surface with the silver disk but not a single button ...
The settings (port, pw ...) are still there as before, the "connect" button still without function.

Last, I also tried http://xxxx.dyn.cc:8000/tmsremote/index.html?host=xx.xx.xx.xx&port=1413&password=Test&remoteCodes=RT_2100&remoteTypes=srp2410, which displayed the page "disconnected", its empty boxes, and the Connect button without effect except emptying all the settings boxes in the first line.

Folgendes könnte passiert sein.
Durch die Neuinstallation von TMSRemote wurde diese Datei entfernt und an anderer Stelle (Settings/tma/...) wieder eingefügt. Das ist dann allerdings eine alte Version aus der Testphase von WebControl, als es noch TMA1 hieß.

@FireBird: Falls dem so ist, wäre es besser, diese Dateien aus dem Installationspaket von TMSRemote raus zu nehmen.

@Hemingway: Zur Lösung müsstest du WebControl via TapToDate nochmal reparieren, um die tmsr Dateien wieder zu erhalten.

Zum Verbindungsproblem:

Das sind die korrekten Daten (sofern sie mit den Einstellungen des TMSRemote TAPs übereinstimmen).

Hattest du evtl. parallel den Windows Client von TMSRemote verbunden?
TMSRemote kann nämlich nur eine Verbindung gleichzeitig.

Jetzt müsste man mal im TMSRemote Log nachschauen, ob überhaupt eine Anfrage stattfand.

Dann würde ich es mal im lokalen Netz versuchen, um Routing Probleme auszuschließen.
Theoretisch könnte auch eine lokale Firewall blocken.

Was du noch testen kannst: Zugriff mit der externen Adresse vom internen Netz aus.
Das funktioniert mit meiner FRITZ!Box bis ich dort die Portweiterleitung deaktiviere.

Das versteh ich nicht ganz. Ich hab jetzt WebControl mit der Heimnetz-IP (http://192.168.178.50:8000) gestartet (also "vom internen Netz aus").
Aber wie soll ich jetzt den "Zugriff mit der externen Adresse" (also IP oder dyn.cc) veranlassen? Da müsste ich irgendwo http://xxxx.dyn.cc:8000/index.html#tmsremote eingeben ...

Ich habe nur TMS Remote getestet. In dessen Connection Profile habe ich statt der Toppy IP 192.168.1.240 meine DYNDNS-Adresse eingetragen und im Router die Weiterleitung von Port 1413 auf 192.168.1.240:1413 eingerichtet. Dann mit dem lokalen PC in TMS Remote die Verbindung getrennt und neu aufgebaut.

Wenn du am lokalen PC mit http://192.168.178.50:8000/ WebControl aufrufen kannst, solltest du das auch mit http://xxxx.dyn.cc:8000/ können, falls dein Router diese Adresse auch als eigene Adresse erkennt und entsprechend weiterleitet.

I can't login to tmsremote over webcontrol if I am at work. IT blocks this.
All other possible login options work. Lokal and over internet (national and international).

Are you trying to connect over internet with you PC, that is in a configuration where IT is boss?
Stop trying.

Else,
As Homer is saying, connect to webcontrol from your home computer, but use this:

>http://your.wan.ip.here:8000<

If necessary, Login, wait until WC is started and try tmsremote.

in answer to your questions and suggestions, I'll sum up my experiences so far.

- I've tested all this from my PC at home, without any IT or boss interfering.

- I can start WebControl within our home net (>http://192.168.178.50:8000<) as well as over the internet (both >http://your.wan.ip.here:8000< and >http://my.dyn.cc:8000/<) and then use WC's own modules to control Toppy - all these without any problems .

- I can get WC's TMSRemote module started only in the pure "home mode" (>http://192.168.178.50:8000<) but never after starting WC over the internet. Obviously there seems to be no explanation why this is so. Well then, I can live with that, because ...
-- while I'm away from home, the WC modules allow me to do all I want, and its TMSRemote window does not offer any further features (AFAIK) that would make it worthwhile to spend even more hours than we all have already spent getting this thing to run;
-- while at home, I choose between the standalone (Windows) TMSRemote app, which is quick and easy, or the WebControl page, which can do a lot more but is also slightly more complicated to operate. It depends what needs to be done.
-- With slow hotel internet connections one can hardly use WebControl. That's why I had asked if the slim TMSRemote Windows app can also be used via internet, but jkIT says:

All this means that, unless author jkIT comes up with the ultimate solution, I can well leave things as they are now and be happy :.

Oh, das war dann wohl ein Missverständnis. Weil du nach einer HTTP Adresse gefragt hattest, habe ich das falsch verstanden.

Kann man eigentlich in TMSRemote ein Profil anlegen, das sich über http/i]//[ip]/i][port]/ verbindet, oder funktioniert das nur im Heimnetz? (Ich hab's versucht, aber es kam ein "Network Error".)

Natürlich kannst du die Windows App auch über´s Internet verwenden.
Trage einfach im Profil bei "Toppy IP" statt einer IP deine DynDns Adresse ein (xxx.dyn.cc).

Ich bin davon ausgegangen, dass du die Windows-App schon über´s Internet benutzt hattest. Da das offenbar nicht so ist, bin ich mir nun relativ sicher, dass entweder bei dir oder im Hotel ein Problem mit der Port-Weiterleitung von Port 1413 (tcp) gibt (dann wird die Windows-App allerdings auch nicht funktionieren).

Das ist ja interessant, dass es doch gehen könnte. Das musste ich gleich nochmal ausprobieren. Hier die Eingaben in einem neuen Profil:

Port: 1413
VFD-Port: 1415
TMS-Passwort: Test

Ergebnis: bei "connect" kommt ein kleines Popup "Network Error" ...

entweder bei dir oder im Hotel ein Problem mit der Port-Weiterleitung von Port 1413 (tcp) gibt

In der FritzBox sind allerdings seit langem folgende Portforwardings eingestellt (und funzen perfekt):
